11 Ways To Change Your Life In Under A Minute

'Change your life'. It seems so aspirational and out there, but it's so achievable. You might be thinking of lots of little things you'd like to change, or maybe you're the kind of girl who wants to make one huge change to her life this year.

We've got your back with all the changes (little and large) you want to make to your life, so if you've got five minutes, we've got fifteen ideas to make things a bit simpler for you!

1. Forget about comfort zones

Comfort zones are made to be pushed. And after recently getting out of mine a wave of opportunities have just come my way. Coincidence? I think not.

So, challenge yourself. Make a list of five things that scare you and instead of avoiding them, take the plunge and do them!

2. Set your sights high

There's a saying, "if you aim low, you'll stay low." It means that if your goals are too comfortable, you'll never move onto bigger things. Your goals should feel just a bit out of your reach, and encourage you to work hard to achieve them. If they don't scare you a bit, they probably need some tweaking.

3. Be a problem solver

Mistakes happen, it's how you deal with them that'll set you apart from everyone else. Do you apologize and move on? Or do you apologize and fix it. Make your solutions more memorable than the problems you create, and learn to be a problem solver.

You might need to train your brain to do this, which is why brain training apps are really important, just a few minutes a day of brain training can help you think outside the box and be a problem solver in everything you do.

4. Approach your relationships differently

If you had to make an acceptance speech, say you won that award you'd always dreamed of, who would you thank? These are the people that you should surround yourself with. Try to be a joy to the lives of the people you love, which means going out of your way to do those calls and texts out of the blue. We think writing down a day to call your nearest and dearest in your planner is a surefire way to keep the positivity going.

5. Think like a leader

Being a leader has nothing to do with your title. And there's nothing wrong with being a follower, either. But thinking like a leader means that when something goes wrong, or nobody else has a solution, you do.

You can think like a leader at work, at home, walking around. It's easy, too. You just need to train your brain! Try a personality test like this one and see if you have leadership qualities and what you need to do to train your mind to think like one.

6. Be confident with your choices

You need to be confident with the choices you make. You can’t doubt them. If you do that means you haven’t put in enough careful thought.

Stand by your decisions and trust them. The decisions you make will always lead on to bigger and better things if you approach them with positivity and a critical eye.

7. Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game

Anyone can do anything as long as they are willing to learn. Take blogs for example, are you thinking of starting one? There are so many out there, it might be a bit overwhelming. Get your resources together to get ahead of the game and actually learn how you can be different.

This applies to everything, if you want to do something, do it. You can learn along the way and make it your own, but if you never try, you'll never know!

8. Create your dream team

Teamwork always makes the dream work. So whether you recruit your best friends to support you in everything you do, or are building your perfect team, just know that the more the merrier. Your dream team will help you get ahead. Make a list of the people that will help you create your own success and lead a smoother life, you'll thank them later.

The older you get, the more you can relate to her compulsive need to keep everything clean and perfect. It's not about being too OTT, it's about having pride in your home and having it perfect for guests to enjoy.

Because at the end of the day, who doesn't want a nice tidy clean home they can come home to when they finish work? So, if you want to take your organization and cleaning to a whole other level, it's time to be organized and inspired by Monica.

We've got your back with all the changes (little and large) you want to make to your life, so if you've got five minutes, we've got fifteen ideas to make things a bit simpler for you!

1. Forget about comfort zones

1. Everything should have its place

Everything from shoes to cutlery has its own spot. And if you relate to Monica, even your ribbons will have their own spot!

Having your belongings lying around the place can make your home look very cluttered. Think clear surfaces and place your home decor in particular spots for the ultimate finish.

It is a habit you should definitely adopt. It will even prevent you from losing things because you'll always know where you keep them.

2. There's no such thing as 'too clean

Comfort zones are made to be pushed. And after recently getting out of mine a wave of opportunities have just come my way. Coincidence? I think not.

So, challenge yourself. Make a list of five things that scare you and instead of avoiding them, take the plunge and do them!

2. Set your sights high

While cleaning your cleaning tools is a little OTT, what we learned from Monica is to leave no stone unturned. To be truly organized, you need to put in the effort and make it work.

An organized life is a smooth one, so making sure your cleaning and organization has a timetable, is the best way to get ahead of it all. You can use a Monica-approved planner like the Getting Things Done planner to schedule out your free time and give yourself more time to vacuum your vacuum cleaner (if you're that way inclined).

There's a saying, "if you aim low, you'll stay low." It means that if your goals are too comfortable, you'll never move onto bigger things. Your goals should feel just a bit out of your reach, and encourage you to work hard to achieve them. If they don't scare you a bit, they probably need some tweaking.

3. An organized home is an organized mind

3. Be a problem solver

If there's one thing we love about Monica, it's that her organization is next level. According to her, everything needs a category, just like everything needs a place.

Use labels for smaller things like household tools and cleaning products. Or to be a bit fancier get yourself some cute little tags that blend in with your decor and make organization a part of your home.

Mistakes happen, it's how you deal with them that'll set you apart from everyone else. Do you apologize and move on? Or do you apologize and fix it. Make your solutions more memorable than the problems you create, and learn to be a problem solver.

4. You don't have to go it alone

4. Approach your relationships differently

As you get older, you realize the joy of planning. Party planning might just be the best thing ever, but your priorities shift to include things like 'appetizers' the older you get, and the importance of actually making a plan really hits home. One thing we learned from Monica is that you don't have to go it alone, you can absolutely bring your friends with you for the ride.

Helping your friend smash her goals and get her life together is rewarding, you can make it a joint project - too!

If you had to make an acceptance speech, say you won that award you'd always dreamed of, who would you thank? These are the people that you should surround yourself with.

5. It's easy to plan your day

5. Think like a leader

Although Monica's regimented plans can be a little hard to follow, she keeps the group together because she plans so well.

There's nothing wrong with creating structure for your life, and it's not as hard as it might seem. You just need to write down the things that matter to you and build your perfect day from there, you can even go further and block off hours of your day into timeslots.

Being a leader has nothing to do with your title. And there's nothing wrong with being a follower, either. But thinking like a leader means that when something goes wrong, or nobody else has a solution, you do.

6. Nobody can do it better than you!

6. Be confident with your choices

Monica definitely had her routines, and although she'd lose it if someone messed with her system, she knew the value of her own work and that nobody did it better than her.

When it comes to your work, and your life, nobody's gonna know how to organize it better than you. Maybe you aren't bothered about laundry, but need to block out time for the gym every day. You need to work to your strengths, and believe in yourself.

You can do this - because you can do anything! Just think like Monica and you'll be able to get it done.
